A fire broke out this evening in St. Catharines on Wembly Dr in an apartment on the third floor. Fire Crews attended and EMS treated one patient with smoke inha...lation and 2nd degree burns. Fire crews located other people on balconies at their apartments. Red Cross was brought in as some people were displaced from their apartment. Officials from the fire marshals office will be on location in the AM to investigate.

We have made arrangements for our staff to have masks available when going to customers homes as well as we can bring one for the customer as well if they wish. We have made donations to the Niagara Falls Fire Department of Medical N95 masks, and Hand Sanitizer for them as well. We will continue to be active with members in the community making our services better for you. We know everyone has had a hard time with Covid 19 and we are no different. What we are doing for the crisis at Hand. As you are all aware and have heard many times the world is ever changing during this crisis. We want to take a minute to tell you what we are doing to continue to make your safety a priority. We have been buying and distributing surgical and n95 mask to elderly and medically fragile customers. We feel this is the right thing to do. Although we have paid a high price for these we are not selling them. Again at this time its not righ...t to make a profit from these items. We are going to be making donations to local hospitals as well. That being said Health and Safety is very important to us. During this time it is very easy to be distracted and accidents still happen. We want to help people stay safe with our services and can still be reached for advice by phone. We have forwarded the office numbers to the President of the company. Please feel free to call and ask for same advice at this time. We also know that there is a need for emergency repairs around the house. Thats why we have teamed up with our lending partners and local renovation businesses to offer you easy financing options for home repair needs. It has recently been brought to our attention that This Gentleman has been going to a number of businesses pretending to be an employee of Ontario Fire Prevention Services to commercial clients. He then takes brand new fire extinguishers from the business and exchanges it for an old expired one. He then sells the new fire extinguishers to other commercial clients. Ontario Fire Prevention Services only sells new fire extinguishers and we only deal with residential customers. If this guy comes to your location please contact police. His name is Tracy Tolland and police are aware of him. He is not, nor has he ever been an employee of Ontario Fire Prevention Services.
