TBT: Rett syndrome awareness that took place 30 years ago. At a CFL Ottawa Rough Rider game, all area female newscasters came to centre field at half time with... Kayleigh and another child with Rett syndrome and kicked a football simultaneously to raise Rett syndrome awareness. The newscasters spent the entire week interviewing local families and promoting the football game. All attendees of the game took home a pamphlet on RTT and the large screens showed information throughout the game too. It was the beginning of Rett awareness in Ontario! See more
