When is the last time you checked your canonical tags? Implementing these tags is a very powerful tactic, especially when you are dealing with duplicate content throughout a website. However, if left unchecked, you could run the risk of canonicalizing a page to a redirected page, or even worse, a 404 page. #canonicalURL #SEO #duplicatecontent

When using a hash in a URL to direct users to a specific piece of content on a page, it is critical that a page's content is visible without the hash. We're seeing this method more often in the name of user experience. While optimizing for users, it is also important to give Google what it wants. #crawlability #userexperience #SEO

The differences that divide UX and SEO leave many wondering if there is such thing as a perfect balance. UX designers have to keep both the user and the business in mind when designing products - SEO on the other hand has a heavy focus on data and content availability. SEO experts need to have a thorough understanding of UX principles - Google's role is to give users what they want, and good user experience is necessary in the fight for the 1st position on the SERP. #UX #SEO #UserExperience #WebsiteOptimization

If you significantly alter a page's content on a regular basis, the GoogleBot will eventually increase the crawl rate of that page. Use this to your advantage by updating high-value pages on your website. Pro Tip: If a page is already ranking well on the SERP, be careful not to remove any valuable SEO content when updating the page. #SEOadvice #SEOtips #DigitalMarketing

You'd be surprised how often this happens. A common solution is to implement link redirects, but too many internal redirects can be detrimental to a website's crawlability, as it takes Google an extra step to effectively crawl each link. Do it the right way by replacing the links with live URLs vs. redirects. #WebsiteLaunch #SEOTips #Redirects

Back in the day, direct mail worked very well to increase brand recognition and sales - oh the simplicity. Today, mailboxes are filled to the brim with junk mail, and most of it is ignored. Due to materials required to develop direct mail, it remains one of the most expensive marketing tactics with very little payoff. #throwbackthursday #throwback #tbt #directmail #digitalmarketing
