Hello folks! Help Open Harbour Refugee Association spring into action! OHRA's fifth sponsorship is an Iraqi family of four: a mother and three adult daughters who have been living in exile for almost 20 years, first in Yemen and now Jordan. Due to the pandemic, their arrival date is unconfirmed, but it's most likely this spring. ... We are raising funds toward: - start-up costs for their apartment - living expenses - emergency contingency fund - flights to Canada Because we are partnering on this sponsorship with the Universalist Unitarian Church of Halifax, we are able (and happy) to offer tax receipts for donations of $20 and up.
