Optimal Fitness 14.01.2021

What a coincidence it is that my first post of 2021 is a video of me destroying my chest and having a blast doing it. This is the first time I've benched 370lbs and 365lbs on the same day with ease. I guess that means good things are in the works. I hope everyone has been having a great 2021. If you haven't started, you're in luck. It's still Jantembruary. Get after it! #getbettertoday #trusttheprocess #optimalfitness... #optimalfitnesstraining #optimalfitnesscoaching See more

Deadlifts 585lbs x 7 Rep PR. This is probably the hardest I've pushed myself on deadlifts in a long time. Residual fatigue from sunday's deadlift session made every thing feel a little heavier today. I had to dig a little deep to get it done especially since the conventional lifts didn't feel so good. I can't believe I actually repped out 6 plates relatively easily on my weaker lift (sumo). I'm also not quite sure what is the weaker lift anymore between conventional and sumo.... The more comfortable I get with sumo, the easier the weights feel. Its going to be difficult cutting off my attachment to conventional. So for now, I'm just going to enjoy pulling both ways until I need to prep for a competition. Such a fun learning experience. Just shows that there is so much we can learn about our body by doing things a little differently from the way we are accustomed to. Get it done folks! 655lbs Sumo Deadlift for today's top set. Its been a great learning curve doing sumo the past few weeks. There's still lots to learn but I think once I can find a comfortable position that I can consistently pull from, then I'd start reaping any strength benefit there is to gain from sumo. My positioning on this set could have been much better, which would have made the lift much easier/smoother. It should not be too difficult to fix this.. Hopefully! Deadlifts 585lbs x5 | Squats 585lbs x2 | All things being considered, this is arguably the easiest 6 plates I've deadlifted. I'm getting more and more comfortable in this sumo position. Plus its just amazing how much there is to learn.. And how much we can learn if we are just a little more open-minded. And yes, I was a bit depleted from doing over a 1000 push ups earlier but I didn't have a valid reason to skip this workout. Glad I didn't! #liveandlearn ... #thelearningneverstops #bestrongerthanyourexcuses #optimalfitnesstraining #optimalfitnesscoaching #optimalfitnesslifestyle See more

Over 1000 push ups in less than 1hour today. I feel blessed to always have people in my life who inspire me to continue to venture outside my comfort zone. From @isabellefairchels and @jeffberger35 to Blake(@weareipodcast)! It's been fun getting pushing my mind and body in different ways. Also, People ask me how I stay motivated lol.. I just seek out new challenges that are kinda scary. It's easy for me to squat 600lbs or Bench 315lbs everyday. But to put myself through an ...hour of pure endurance work. That doesn't sound fun but I do it anyways for the chance to look adversity in the face and laugh! Train smart but always push yourself #getbettereveryday #onwardandforward #1000pushupchallenge #bemorethanaverage #optimalfitnesstraining #optimalfitnesscoaching #optimalfitnesslifestyle See more
