To our Valued Patients of Orthodontics on Danforth, As the owner & operator of Orthodontics on Danforth, your health and safety has always been my top priority and I want to update you regarding the protocols specific to the COVID-19 Virus. We continue to be prudent about following the highest standards in all sterilization and disinfecting protocols at Orthodontics on Danforth. We’ve always had your health and safety in mind while you are at our office. Below is a summar...y for your assurance: We disinfect all surfaces, chairs, or any equipment that comes in contact with a patient, parent, sibling and guest after every single appointment. Washing and sanitizing of hands before and after gloving. Alcohol based sanitizers are used. All instruments are cleaned in our state-of-the-art washer, which is hospital grade, Miele G7891. All instruments are bagged individually, and heat sterilized and processed in our Midmark M11 Ultraclave and Statim 5000 sterilizers On an hourly basis, we wipe down of all front desk areas with disinfectant wipes (desk, door handles, beverage centers, tablets, pens, clipboards, etc..) We continue to closely monitor this situation as it unfolds with all the available resources through our College (RCDSO), Health Canada, Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Ontario Association of Orthodontists (OAO), and the Canadian Association of Orthodontists (CAO). We would like to remind everyone about the importance of proper hand-washing and in the interest of everyone’s safety, we would encourage those that are feeling ill to remain at home, and we will happily re-schedule your appointment for a later date. If you have traveled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, we respectfully request you reschedule your appointment. These protocols are in place to protect you, our patients, our families, my team and myself.
