Feeding Families - Restaurant Relief continues. Thanks to Georgian Charity Invitational for purchasing 40 meals from Dragonfly Cafe where Cindy Lougheed ma...de full-on turkey dinners with all the trimmings which were delivered to Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort yesterday. We're asking businesses, individuals, and organizations to commit to buying meals. These meals will be purchased at local restaurants, frozen, and donated to OSHARE. Drumroll, please ... look at how many toonies are going to fill hungry tummies! January-March shoppers across Ontario took the #ToonieChallenge and made a don...ation to #Toonies4Tummies in-store and online. We're so incredibly thankful to everyone who made a donation and to our retailer and our sponsors. Right now, students continue to receive support from donations you made to the campaign last year. And, come back to school in the fall, this year's campaign donations will help programs meet the increased need and burden of increased costs associated with delivering safe, single-serving meals to hungry children at home. You can check out Toonie Tracker for programs we're funding today. Be sure to check back often as we continue to update it with programs that we've been able to take off wait lists with your support

Take a look at this Farm to School-Salad Bar video. It's exciting to see kids on Salad Bar day! Video has pre COVID footage included. OSNP Grey Bruce supports the Salad Bar in schools. In time we will be able to "grow" the number of schools operating salad bars. 2 schools in Grey Bruce have this grant. OSNP Grey Bruce has supported 2 more schools with a Salad Bar. As we head into the weekend, we'd like to share this thank you note. We want you to know just how much your donations are having a positive impact on people in... an incredibly difficult time. "I would love to thank the program for the wonderful snacks supplied to our home. It has given my 3 children a good amount of snacks to help keep them happy. Not being able to get to the stores as we used to and my husband being home for 3 weeks from work due to its closure has been tough. Receiving this food basket was just wonderful and a relief that our kids have nutritious snacks available to them. Thank you so much. P.S. THE ORANGES WERE FABULOUS.
