Isolation periods can get confusing when multiple people in the same household get symptoms after one another. Check out this quick video for a run-down on when... isolation periods are extended, and when they aren’t. Note: You must continue to isolate beyond the minimum time period if symptoms have not improved for at least 24 hours. If symptoms have affected the digestive system, they have to be resolved for at least 48 hours before leaving the house. If onset of symptoms from different household members do not occur within a reasonably short period of time, then it is most likely a new and unrelated infection. In this case, the household members who had not previously tested positive for COVID-19 must isolate again. For more on isolation periods, see Ontario.ca/exposed
