Owen Sound Rowing Club

As of May 16, 2020, Ontario permits ‘Boat Clubs’ to operate with limitations. Following completion of RowCanada’s Risk Assessment tool, OSRC is preparing to open for recreational members only (instruction and specifically Learn to Row or LTR is NOT sanctioned at this time). Through operating within a COVID-19 Code of Conduct, strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols, individual dedicated equipment (oar, life jacket, throw rope, cleaning bucket etc.), members can row single (1...x) sculls and doubles (2x) sculls (for members within the same household). Restrictions will be in place for vulnerable members (i.e. older than 65 years old, Immunocompromised etc.). Only rowers from within Grey Bruce County will be permitted. To reduce the risk of infection, no outside visitors will be allowed. 2020 will be a challenging year financially for OSRC and thus your membership or donation would be greatly appreciated. *** POSTPONED - Due to COVID-19 *** OSRC has postponed Learn To Row (LTR) from June 1-7 2020 to July 6-12, 2020.... The current Ontario State of Emergency has opened ‘Boat Clubs’, marinas and ramps but does NOT allow gatherings of more than 5 or instruction. The close proximity within the boats does not permit adequate social distancing of 2 m. We ask for your patience until we can meet and ensure each members safety. Mark your calendar but keep checking in here for updates.
