A big congratulations goes out to the Evelyn home for winning PCL's Chopped Soup and Sides Edition Competition. Once again they were up against some tough PCL competition but their great reviews, mouthwatering pictures and innovative use of the mystery ingredients helped them rise to the top. Thank you to all the homes for participating. You did GREAT!

Emily, a staff member at Forestlawn has family that live in Newfoundland. They wanted to do something nice for the ladies at forestlawn so they sent Emily money to go get them a cake for a treat. We hear it was DELICIOUS! What a thoughtful gesture.

Thank you Dora for the generous donation you made to the Evelyn house. The air fryer is going to be put to good use. We've got some amazing cooks at this house (as we've seen in our Chopped and Chili Challenges) and with this, many more healthy and delicious meals are in their future.

This past Saturday December 12 we hosted PCL's first virtual pub night with live music from #ryanmajormusic. We all made "pub grub" at home and some festive drinks, and enjoyed some virtual live music for an hour and rocked out to some popular music as well as some Christmas favourites. We even managed to throw a couple sing-a-longs in there. A great time was had by all!

One of the things the PCL community looks forward to every year is our PCL Christmas Party. It's a treasured time when we all get together, enjoy a meal, catch up and enjoy each others company. Sadly, with COVID-19, that won't be happening this year...but you can be assured that our staff teams are working hard to ensure this years holiday season is just as special.
