Nearly a year in the making, this soap is a twist on a traditional #beldisoap. Classically made by saponifying a base of olive oil and olive paste, this version started with calendula from my flower pots, infused over months in olive oil, then blended into a gel-like paste that is designed in particular for sensitive, dry or mature skin

Soaps with special additives! *Activated Charcoal and Kaolin clay, scented with sandalwood fragrance. She’s loaded with these goodies. *Spruce resin with cedar wood essential oil. The spruce resin, which has a rich history of being used in tradition folk medicine, was harvested in my backyard and gently melted into olive oil and added to this soap. *Canadian Glacial Clay and Yarrow, scented with orange and peppermint essential oil. This clay is a product of erosion caused by the movement and melting of glaciers and is enriched with beneficial phytoplankton found in the ocean where it’s harvested. Yarrow, also used historically in traditional folk medicine, was harvested from my yard and infused in olive oil before being added to this soap.

Life is too short for boring soap! And my shelf is too small for all these soap ends so it’s a soap end sale this weekend! Come to @ravenwoodshpk this weekend, listen to some live music, grab a drink for the beer tent and check out a few vendors! I hear the sun will be making an appearance tomorrow (that’s reason enough to get out and about with the summer we have had this year!)

Shea Butter Crème. Decadent & conditioning; this crème is made with Shea Butter, colloidal oatmeal & aloe vera

Best part of make’n stuff...left overs! Vanilla mint foot crème. Loaded with Shea butter, Aloe Vera, a hint of beeswax and more! Available in 4 ounce portions.

Concocting #facemasks the kitchen today! On the left is one for oily and blemish prone skin: containing bentonite clay (volcanic ash), activated charcoal, aloe Vera and matcha. On the right is one for dry and sensitive skin: containing kaolin clay, colloidal oatmeal, matcha and aloe Vera!

Once a year I like to make a Dandelion oil infusion. This year it was used to create this all natural combo of an ultra gentle Soap and Salve. Bay Laurel is straight out of my back yard (not just for soups and stews ) & the Beeswax for the Salve was locally sourced from @beavercreekhoney, giving it the gentle scent of honey . Can’t wait for the end of the season to have some fun with the chamomile and calendula in my flower pots!

This is what happens when I am supposed to resting, but I start watching paint pouring videos (and there is a couple ounces of resin in my closet that’s been on my mind for a few days). A resin #rainbow soap dish with busted up rainbow rock to keep your soap dry and extend its life! Also a little glam makeover for my drab phone case!

Finally! Our baby geese have made an appearance, and the dandelions have popped up. Two of my favourite signs that we are well into spring, and that it’s safe to plant my garden. These dandelion heads are drying right now to be used in an oil infusion and then Incorporated into a couple of recipes

Same delicious scent...different design. Rosewater Lemonade revisited. The luscious scent of rose, sweetened with strawberry and raspberry, brightened with citrusy notes of fresh squeezed lemon.
