Excavation begins in preparation for the new home of the first and only atom probe microscope in Canada! Our team dug down 3’ from top of finish floor by hand. Mudslab, waterproofing and very carefully placed rebar was placed in the excavation. All rebar had to be separated by 12mm to prevent the passing of electromagnetic fields which would disrupt the microscope. Crane delivery for the new isolation table for the microscope! The table weighs over 5,000lbs so it needed to be craned down and brought in on its side. Having this isolation table properly installed is a key milestone of the project. The table will stop any potential vibration or electromagnetic fields from affecting the performance of the microscope. Today we remember Lawren Harris, best known as founding member of the famous Canadian painting Group of Seven, born Oct 23, 1885 in Brantford. Paulsan is proud to have completed the renovations to a heritage home on Brant Ave that is now the Lawren Harris Medical Centre. Harris spent time at this home drawing, painting and being inspired by the beauty and culture of Brantford. Brantford has often hosted Lawren Harris Week with events and walking tours celebrating the life ...and work of this well-known artist. The Brantford community is grateful to Dr. Raza Khan for his commitment to beautifully restoring the Harris home, and for making the medical clinic fully accessible. Paulsan was proud to nominate Dr. Khan and he was awarded the City of Brantford Accessibility Award!
