Let’s create awareness! Could everyone share this logo. It indicates that the person who wears it is deaf and, in some cases, wears a hearing aid. In these time...s, it's also impossible to read lips, which makes it very difficult There's no point in carrying the sign if half of people don't know what it means... Deaf and hard of hearing people will be grateful to you... Thank you Please note. this is Not my design I am sharing to create awareness!!!!!! Stay safe and be kind

Some great tips for parents and family members to support their kiddos with hearing loss for online learning!
Face masks cover the mouth, stopping us from reading lips and seeing cues that help us understand speech. When someone wears a mask it can reduce the volume of their speech, and even people with normal hearing could experience a decrease in speech audibility of 30%! Here are some ways we can combat this:

Sharing some strategies to help mask wearers protect their hearing aids and make masks more comfortable! Let us know your thoughts and strategies :)
When the person you are talking to is wearing a mask, understanding them can be more difficult! Speech can be quieter and sound distorted. We also can't rely on facial expressions or lip reading to help us fill in the blanks. Here are some tips we came up with to keep in mind when communicating with someone wearing a mask. Make sure you are already wearing your hearing aids
Be careful when taking off your facemask that you don't lose your hearing aid!
I will be in the office Thursday April 23rd. If you need batteries, wax guards or a minor repair please call to set up an appointment time.
Here’s a video to help ensure you are cleaning your hearing aids properly. If you don’t have a drying beaker a jar with rice will also work. Stay safe.

If your hearing aid isn’t working check the battery -If you have two hearing aids checking the battery in the working hearing aid is the best way. Next try changing the wax guard. Even if you changed it yesterday it can become plugged. Often times this will solve your problem! https://m.youtube.com/watch

There seems to be something of a conspiracy of silence when it comes to looking after our hearing aids. We are diagnosed, fitted, and then find ourselves out on the street, metaphorically speaking. What about looking after hearing aids in the winter?
