We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Occupation Safety Standard of Excellence Ruby Safety Pinnacle Award. It is a recognition of our comprehensive health and safety management system which has seen a more than 10% decrease in severe injury rates over the last 3 years. It is, in fact, the 2nd highest safety award given by the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC. Good work everyone for coming together to make this happen!

This year, more than ever, it is important to invest in our community. To that end, as the holiday season approaches, we are donating to the following incredible organizations: Adopt a Family - Boys and Girls Club , Valley First's Feed the Valley, SOWINS' Share the Spirit and the Salvation Army Food Bank. We have also asked our employees to donate a non-perishable food item to the food bank for a chance to win one of three prizes. We know it is a hard year for everyone, and we want to give back to a community that has supported us.

Penticton Foundry recently purchased a handheld, 3-D scanner for use by our final inspection department and sales team, allowing us to create 3-D models of any part. This will benefit our customers in a number of specific ways a) We can now scan parts/castings on site like a chute liner, and have the data to our designers within an hour (depending on the size of the chute) b) Scan existing parts without official drawings. Castings can then be made that replicate the parts. c)... Aid in the conversion of a fabrication to a casting by scanning the fabrication. d) In our final inspection department, we can scan a finished casting in minutes and compare the measured data to the solid model of the part. We can then supply a dimensional report confirming the actual measurements to the design measurements. Having a tool like a handheld, 3-D scanner, will help Penticton Foundry continue to exceed our customers' expectations and deliver the innovative results we are known for. See more

We would like to congratulate our President, Brian Bendig, on his 25 year anniversary with Penticton Foundry. With a degree in Materials Engineering (specializing in Metallurgy) and an Executive MBA, Brian has grown the Foundry to 4 times its size during his tenure as President, a role he took on in 2003. He has wide-ranging foundry experience (he’s managed production, been head of Quality Assurance and lead on special projects). He donates to local charities, and is widely respected by his employees. We feel lucky to have him. Congratulations Brian!

Chrome white iron can outlast AR plate, chromium carbide overlay and steel in some wear resistant applications. But how does it measure up against rubber? This case study takes a look. https://www.pentictonfoundry.com//chrome-white-iron-outla/
