"I wrote this piece, which I called 'Feather Armour,' for them. I wrote it a little for me too, in a way, for those days when my skin feels a little thin, for t...hose days when I feel like I might be ladied and ma'amed into an unrecognizable shadow of myself. Like a mantra or an incantation for the often misgendered, words to repeat when you need a protection spell." This Thursday, join us for a FREE LIVE ONLY virtual event with Ivan Coyote at 7pm. Join the award-winning author, artist and educator as Ivan Coyote grapples with the complex and intensely personal topics of gender identity, family, class, and queer liberation. This performance is presented by Creative Writing at Brock University in partnership with the Brock University Faculty Association, Women and Gender Studies, Social Justice Research Institute, Human Rights and Equity, The Women's Campus Safety Fund, OUTNiagara and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
