This is my Grandfather, he died in service in 1945 when my father was 4 years old leaving my 26 year old (pregnant) grandmother a widow with 3 children in a village in India. These aren’t stories, they are people. They shift the trajectory of lives, and their service is immeasurable. They left their families to create a better world for all of us. . It’s because of this man and millions like him, that today I wake up in my warm bed (yes, during a pandemic, but I’m healthy)..., not fearing for my children’s safety (who have healthcare and are getting an education), and have the privilege to worry about my little crafting studio (yes it’s a privilege, some days are stressful, but I’m surrounded by the best team and too many blessings to count). .
