Due to the unfortunate encounter I’ve had with a (now) ex-client today, I will now have to take a deposit for all work to be done. This client, who desperately needed her outfit tailored, knowing I am leaving for an emergency trip, didn’t show up for her first fitting, didn’t show up to her rescheduled fitting, then showed up late on my day off. She was happy when she left but decided to pretend that she’d send an e-transfer when she got to her car. Instead, she got her mother to call to say they were not paying. This is appalling. It’s the equivalent of stealing. Unfortunately this new policy will be in effect for all clients.
