Pemakoe Welfare Association Canada is delighted to express our deepest gratitude to Pema Kunga la for his esteemed contribution of Rs/-1,11,520 for the Road Construction Project, a distance of 1.55km from Miao Choephelling settlement to Miao Town, Arunachal Pradesh, INDIA. Since this has been an aspiration of Miao Choephelling settlers for many years, is finally inaugurated under the headship of Road Construction Committee lead by all Camp Leaders and related members on 17th ...Feb 2021. Pema Kunga la and family, is our dedicated and infallible members of our community. Therefore, we would like to pay our sincere appreciation for his dedication and determination demonstrated for the cause of TIBET. Marathon for Tibet was successfully concluded in September 2020. Tibetans in diaspora particularly in and an around Toronto largely supported him for his commitment to run for the cause. 90% of the donation received from the Marathon has been donated to The Office of Dalai Lama Trust and remaining 10% to The Office of Miao Camp leaders as a seed money to renovate the road. Lastly, a gesture to acknowledge your commitment and dedication for the country and the community you belong, ‘PK Road’, newly concrete cemented road constructed is named after you will always remembered by us. Pemakoe Welfare Association Canada (PWAC) would like to take an opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to all pemakopas in Toronto region for their generous contributions and taking part in giving back to community towards the road construction project in Miao settlement. This road construction had been a dream project of our many elder generation but couldn’t materialized because of financial constraints. But this time with collective contributions, we are witnessin...g the dream of our elders come true. Thank you all for being a part of this great project by contributing generously. P.S: the shared lists of donors only consist of 30%-40% members of PWAC, as the rest members have collected the donation privately and sent the donation amounts independently to Miao construction project committee. Total amount collected via PWAC is CAD $ 8018 (Rs 461,836) -

Pema Kunga la expressed his appreciation and support shown to him during his Marathon for Tibet by making a donation from all across North America and he dicided to proceed all the money he received via donation to The Dalai Lama Trust, India donated CAD $ 4287.35 (Rs 2,39,062) to show his tribute to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on celebrating year 2020 as Gratitude Year to HHDL 2. Donated CAD $2000 (Rs 111520) to Miao Choephelling Settlement, India for construction and renovation of road, and encouraged fellows ex-residents of Miao who are now well settled in Toronto to contribute back to our own community for this useful project which will benefit the community in days to come. 3.
