I don't know about you guys, but when I put my oven on self-clean mode, the glass never comes clean. The interior does, but not the glass. So I stumbled across this tip and decided to give it a go. Housekeeping Hack of the Week: What to do with greasy / oil-stained rags? The better question is what you shouldn't be doing with them.... Answer? NEVER put oily rags or towels in a dryer (even if washed). Doing so is a fire hazard. If you make the mistake of machine drying oily rags, NEVER place them into any sort of plastic bag. Those rags generate heat. Heat and plastic are not friends. That bag might become a combustible disaster when you least expect it. The fire won't happen immediately, but it will likely occur. Instead, let those washed oily rags air dry or discard of them altogether.
