If you cannot get to the forest....one could always sit on the shore and watch a Heron catching its evening snack.

One must remember to look down and under when walking through the forest. You don't want to miss the little things that please.

Autumn has come around again and with it the salmon are heading upstream. Not only to spawn but to reach beyond the shores of the rivers and creeks, to reach up into the forests and fertilize a continuing generation of trees and plants. #circleoflifemiracles

While I have not been out taking scenery photos ...I have been busy with monitoring the fish and other creatures that live in our intertidal areas. So very interesting! Look after our waterways and underwater meadows! They are home to many different creatures!

Just out, today, for a little trip to meet some of the locals. A female Sooty grouse and one of her 3 chicks, as well as a young gangly black bear. (just look at those long legs!)
