My tummy is in knots with what I’m about to write. . I’m retiring Potions. My last day at @joynemarketplace will be December 31st. . It’s been a beautiful, heart fulfilling journey but it’s time to move on for awhile. I have three kids who need me right now. The social repercussions of this pandemic are unknown and I worry for our children’s future. I need to give my kids more: more adventures, more quality time and more of me. They’re only little for so long and already I f...eel time slipping by. I want to be more present for them. Less phone, more connection. . I’m taking my last batch of products to Joyne tomorrow. What’s left in my home stock is on sale for 40 and 50% off on the website. My product at Joyne will go on sale for their Boxing Day event at 20% off. When it’s gone, it’s gone. . This was a hard decision; I love Potions and I love seeing people move away from the toxic products in our world. But my kids are calling and I must answer, wholeheartedly and with the utmost intention and presence. . Thank you isn’t enough to express my gratitude to my loyal customers and to @_kaila_king_ and Krista at Joyne. It’s because of you all that I was able to put Claire in baseball and dance, fly to Ontario multiple times, create more products to fit the needs of my clients and show people the healing power of Mother Nature’s bounty. . Potions showed my kids the power of what one person can do when they see the need for change. I couldn’t stand the products lining shelves so I took the initiative to change it. I have quite a few new followers lately so in the spirit of getting to know each other, let me re-introduce myself. . I’m Kelsey. I’m 35 or something like that and I have 3 kids. I struggled with secondary infertility for five years before miraculously having my son in sept ‘18 followed by my daughter in feb ‘20 (#17monthsapart). Life is absolute chaos right now but I’m soaking up every second. #mostofthetime . Potions bloomed out of a disgust for the ingredients in baby prod...ucts. When I got pregnant with my first child in 2013 I was appalled at the absolute garbage in products. The more I learned about it, the more put off I was. I started making baby bum cream and slowly started switching over all of our skin care products to ones I proudly crafted myself. . In the six years since we’ve started, we’ve got over 20 products all lovingly crafted and carefully researched. Reducing my footprint on the earth is important to me and I do my best to live as eco-friendly as possible. I respect Mother Nature immensely. . When I’m not playing witchy creator with my potions, I’m usually covered in children trying to bake or cook because I think I’m Gordon Ramsey but nicer or I’m typing away on my computer blogging or writing my book. . Somewhere in there I also make time to volunteer with the @familyfertilityfundofsask, marry people, snuggle my husband, play board games, read alllll the books and camp with my family. .
