Had a lot of fun today doing some testing with @kmotion3d k-coach and using wireless EMG sensors to see exactly which muscles were actually activating during certain points of the swing. . I am beyond proud of this incredible woman! . 1 year ago, Rosa came to me because she wanted to move better and feel better. . At 86 years old, Rosa had a hard time walking, moving and was terrified of falling and not being able to get back up if she was alone.... . Today, at 87 years old, Rosa was able to get down on the ground under control with no assistance 15 times! . Rosa is the definition of indomitable spirit as she continues to push her boundaries and rediscover a zest for life she long ago thought was lost due to movement restrictions. . Age is just a number. K-Coach with my Junior Golfers . In association with the @swingfitgolf Academy, I have been working with my junior golfer Carlee on functional movements and how they impact the swing. . This week we took that a step further to show her how those movements have helped transition into better posture throughout the swing by using the K-coach biofeedback system.... . Carlee has been having issues with internal lead leg rotation and hip rotation leading to swaying, early extension, and flat shoulder planing. . Using the biofeedback DVT training from the @kmotion3d system, we were better able to show what the right feeling should be at address, transition and impact. . From here, we can dive deeper into how to train the right muscle groups to address her biggest weaknesses as she prepares to start her tournament season. . Information is everything! . Using the @kmotion3d k-coach I can start using the data I collect during swing evaluations to see where my swing is causing issues. . As can be seen from these pictures, my sequencing may start at my hips, but I then use my arms and hands before my torso. ... . This is further detailed in how I move by the lack of rotation I am getting in my torso and side bend - predominantly during the impact position. . As a golf fitness specialist, now I can use this data to go to work on better disassociation of the torso and pelvis. Here we discovered using state-of-the-art technology from @apexperformanceclub and @driven.ai our client was completely quad dominant in his squat even after giving correctives and elevating his heels to assist with Dorsiflexion. . The result was a much deeper understanding that doing more squats wasn’t going to solve his glute inactivation because they simply weren’t firing in the squat. His quads were doing all the work. . Working on upper body stability and knee control. . This is a Reverse Lunge with a Reverse Lunge Cross over. . We added in a dowel straight arm Lat raise to encourage good thoracic posture.... .
