This is Max-This little guy is from my hometown and needs a lifesaving drug worth $2.8 MILLION DOLLARS Please read what my friend Steph has written below and spread the word to help this family. Max has received the unimaginable, heartbreaking diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, leaving him with a bleak prognosis. ... Max is a warrior, he lives in my hometown, I grew up with his sweet dad, Bowden Sych This sweet boy needs a life saving drug, Zolgensma, only available in the US....not so bad right? Now imagine, as a parent, being told this drug costs $2.8 MILLION DOLLARS. The epitome of unfair. If that’s not bad enough, he needs this drug before age 2...less than a year....they have both time and money working against them. My small, rural Alberta hometown has come together to do everything in their power to raise funds to get Max his medication, but it’s just not enough. They need YOUR help (and all of your friends’ help!!). Even a small donation has sweet little Max one step closer to receiving the greatest gift ever - the hope of continued life. This has taken me days of processing...as a special needs parent, I cannot even begin to fathom the devastation the Sych family is going through. This has me gutted.
