As a student organization at the University of Alberta, we stand in solidarity with our black brothers and sisters. We strongly condemn such acts of violence and racism. As a community, we have acknowledged oppression against minorities all around the world. Now it is time to support and help our black brothers and sisters who have also been suffering for a very long time. As a community, it is our job to use our voices and stand against any type of injustice. We need to st...art having these tough conversations at our dining tables. There is a lot of racism in Pakistan alone against people who do not resemble the typical white person... There is a lot we need to work on in the Pakistani community. It is not enough for us to hold justice ourselves, we have to do all within our power to ensure that injustice is eradicated and replaced by equity and justice. We strongly encourage you to speak out, protest and educate those around you about the systematic racism around us. Our individual efforts no matter big or small can help create a change.
