It was a rainy day but we made some progress on the second floor system. We managed to set the 45’ double lvl rim board for the front roof. I don’t know how we did it before we had a machine.

When a guy from church says he’s a carpenter don’t assume he is as good as Jesus was. This guy over spanned and overload an lvl beam so we had to remove it and install a steel beam. This repair job was completed for 80% of the original cost to do it wrong . The moral of this story, get a permit it’s designed to protect the unknowing customer. Also, hire a professional. Just because someone says they have framed houses for 10 years doesn’t mean they have been doing it well.
