MAC Rally of Hope 25.10.2020

Memories of the Last Rally! $1.5M plus raised! Thousands of kms, hundreds of hours and many memories over the years! Iain has started us off and we've had a few... other additions so please add your comments and memories aboyt the Rally of Hope! Share and tag those i missed. A young boy dying of brain cancer in Winnipeg. A young woman, married with children, dying of cancer and singing about it in St John's. A police officer donating to the cause at a gas station Canadian Cancer Society reps showing up to support Riding for what seemed like hours in New Brunswick, on a pot holed back road short cut. Running into a hoard of thousands of dragon flies in Manitoba. Honking and waving at the engineer of a train, somewhere in the prairies, and being hooted back. A female dragon boat team of cancer survivors cheering for us! The beauty of places I've never seen before like skirting the great lakes in Ontario, travelling through rural Quebec, Confederation bridge, and the awesomeness of Newfoundland. The Cabot Trail. Great people hosting rally events across Canada A horserace honouring the rally at Assiniboia Downs Calgary White Hat Ceremony Newfoundland Screeched In George Street Festival Cindy Duncan's home, pool, hot tub, rum and how much hair Michel has on his back, only to be ribbed about the rug on my back... The wonderful reception given us in Miramichi on several occasions. A perfect swan dive from a motorcycle into a mud puddle and how to lift a motorcycle up alone. Police escortsthe good kind Wondering, for a fraction of a second, why my saddle bag was accelerating past my bike at an intersection in Winnipeg. The Prairies are beautiful Freezing in Northern Ontario Lynda McLeod accelerating past a slow motorcycle leading us out of an Ontario town and thinking too myself, well done girl, and then pulling out of the group to follow her. My very first long distance ride on a motorcycle, the biggest I've ever ridden, in over 40 years and watching two "experienced" riders directly in front of me riding side by side and bumping into each other touching each other's foot pegs. I thought that was the end... Being so embarrassed so many times at taking off with my kick stand still down. Brakes on fire, engine seized, out of gas. Check How incredibly it was to look at a fellow rider while going down the road and the both of us communicating so much to each other in a simple smile. Riding in rain so hard you couldn’t see and people waiting for us in that rain The Newfound Riders Fate Hope and Thunder the rally movie. Lillooet is damn hot in the summer Duffy Lake Road Spitz flying everywhere Oops we’re lost, going 3 times over the wrong bridge Riding sideways through Wreck House Motel fatigue. If this is Tuesday it must be . A 40 hour playlist isn’t long enough Seeing the support vehicle on the horizon is comforting
