With the Covid-19 pandemic we are keeping our physical distance. Most people are paying by e-transfer. It does seem odd to not be shaking hands with anyone. But at Rapid Rubbish Removal we are taking the health of our customers seriously.

We demo'd this Sun Room yesterday. Had it down safely by noon. It was 3,500 lbs in disposal then we removed all strapping & bolts from the house, swept up the area and raked the lawn. When I asked the homeowner if there was anything else we could do he paid us the nicest compliment by saying we'd already gone above & beyond his expectations.

I had the privilege of helping a family from out-of-town this week. They hired me after only 2 telephone conversations to help clean out a storage unit owned by a family member with some serious health problems. It was quite a big job, I went with a helper 1 day then they made the drive up from Guelph the next day to finish. The unit was a surprise to them & the storage company was putting pressure on them to get it cleaned out. It was a challenge under time pressure and my out-of-towners were very happy with the results.

One of the things I really enjoy about what I do is the variety of work and calls we get at Rapid Rubbish Removal. This job was a simple one but required a lot of work and disposing of drywall has it’s twists. Drywall is heavy, it weighs roughly 2 pounds per square foot.The weight, size and material of drywall make it awkward to carry. In this job we had to go up stairs and across some carpet. We used a tarp to keep the floor clean. We were careful not to break the drywall so... that we didn’t have extra dust or bits of drywall floating around. We know the clean shot is a little blurry but you can see that we didn’t just haul out the big pieces we cleaned the floor as well. You can’t put construction material out at the side of the road for pick up on garbage day.
