What will 2021 bring to the rescue world? Petzl is releasing their very own line of high efficiency swivel pulleys with sealed ball bearings. Designed for maximum simplicity in setting hauling or load deviation or tyroleans and with a swivel that will accept up to three carabiners, rope or webbing, the Spin can be opened even when attached to an anchor to load ropes from 7mm 13mm. ... Building rescue systems requires focus. The Petzl Spin includes a red indicator on the side plate for positive visual confirmation that the triple action side plate is opened or closed. Available as a single or double pulley with lower becket, the Spin efficiency is rated at a whopping 95% and comes in at only 290g/480g for the single and double respectively. That’s all pretty cool, but wasn’t enough for Petzl. The Spin is also available with a one-way directional sheave on the Spin L1D. Mark your calendars - the Spin will be availble in spring of 2021! With winter here grab yourself and your team a few ready heat blankets to add to your first aid or survival kit. All Ready-Heat Blankets using panel technology come individually sealed in an oxygen free protective poly-bag. When the poly-bag is opened, the blanket's heating elements react with the oxygen in the atmosphere and generate heat. The heat generated will provide sufficient warmth and comfort to the user for up to 8 hours. #ravengear #ravenrsm #ravenmedical

Ice Rescue, Water Rescue and Advanced First Aid courses are all on the schedule in the coming weeks. Training Maintenance: The skills you learn during your course are only as valuable as your ability to recall and utilize them when the need arises in the field. Regular practice is a key part of competence, and best practices dictate a minimum of annual practice. In addition, many standards (NFPA 1006, CSA, ANSI, etc...) recommend training, but not recertification, at least... yearly. To ensure you meet best practices between your course and your recertification (usually three years) we offer two different forms of training maintenance that can be taken advantage of on an annual basis. Contact us today to register for a course, or learn more about how to maintain your certification and skill. #ravenrescue

Train your own rescue team, or hire Raven Standby Rescue Technicians? We often get phone calls from industry clients weighing their options - they have a project coming up on their schedule, and they need to decide how to meet their safety needs. Should they train a few of their personnel to a technician level, kit them out with rescue gear, and meet their own safety needs in-house? Or should they bring in a trained, equipped and insured rescue team to provide standby serv...ices while their own personnel focus on the work at hand? Raven Rescue can help make these critical decisions for your work place or industry. #RavenRescue
