The lockdown is a bummer... but on a positive note, RMTS GET TO STAY OPEN! Which means all massage therapy appointments are still a go! Hello everyone As I am officially reopening July 20th, I wanted to provide some information to you all on what to except for your massage therapy appointments: Before your appointment: ... - An intake form and/or Covid-19 questionnaire will be sent through email and this must be completed before appointment. - Ensure you arrive alone, no guest are permitted. - Use washroom before coming. - You will be required to wear a face mask at all times. If you do not have a mask there will be some available for purchase ($2/disposable mask). If you have any concerns about wearing a mask during treatment, contact me prior to. I will also be wearing a face mask at all times. When you arrive: - I will now be using the front door entrance to the treatment room (door on the right at the front of the house). You are welcome to park at the end of the driveway rather than the back but make sure you are not blocking the sidewalk. - Ring doorbell upon arrival. If you arrive early stay in vehicle until your appointment time. - I will be there to open the door for you. - Covid-19 screening questionnaire will be asked before entry - There will be a touch-less hand sanitizer for you to use when you enter. After your appointment: - For payment, debit or e-transfer would be preferred but you can still pay cash if needed. Also, direct billing will still be available. - Sanitize hands before leaving. - If you develop symptoms or are diagnosed with Covid-19 within the following 2-3 weeks of your treatment, please contact me immediately so I may take the appropriate precautions. Please remember, though I am doing everything possible to reduce the spread of Covid-19 there is still a risk when not adhering to social distancing for both yourself (the client) and your therapist. With many changes to the treatment room and protocols expected to be followed, my commitment to my clients health and safety still remains the same as before. I have missed all my clients! I am excited to let everyone know I am aiming for a July 20th reopening date! The first and second week back are already booked up. I have started texting/calling clients that had appointments cancelled due to the Covid shut down. Please reach out to me if I missed contacting you. ... I was having intense pain in the front of my lower leg, right before a full day of clients. It felt like shin splint pain, it was so sharp and I couldn’t get it to stop! So I decided to use my kinesiology taping techniques on it and I’m glad I did! I was able to get the pain to subside while I worked on my feet all day! The pink tape was used for the points that were most painful for me (compression strips with 50% tension).... The purple tape was used for my security strip (0% tension).
