I feel like the word procrastination is sometimes used as a general term that covers a lot of very real feelings, and laziness is a good way to add shame into that mix - what’s blocking you? Why? And how can you work with it compassionately to move forward?

Creative blocks can sometimes happen when we focus on what we should be doing creatively, as opposed to what we’re feeling the energy to do. Ask yourself: what has me feeling joy today? What’s inspiring me? What can I let myself create, just for the joy of creating? Where can I make space to just engage with this for awhile? There is value & inspiration in the process, when you’re feeling stuck - let yourself spend some time in the process of creative joy, sketch out an idea that’s weighing on your mind, spend some slow time markmaking, journaling, or working on something you love doing, or spend time with something that is taking up your headspace.
