Trying Times This is a tip for you while driving your vehicle. If you are alone there is no need to have gloves and a facemask on. If you are worried then place your climate control system on recirc or max with fan on low. This will cause a slight pressurization which prevents the entry of outside contaminants. It is also very important to check and service your Cabin Air/AC/Pollen filter as needed and be sure to replace with the correct filter. Hepa filters are expensive but... trap finer particles than the cheaper paper filters. Sanitizing Your Vehicle We of course sanitize your vehicle before it comes in and when it goes out. This protects our staff as well as you and your loved ones. We also sanitize all touchable surfaces you might encounter at our facility. We wear masks and gloves while servicing your vehicle. Upon medical advice we have been sanitizing with alcohol . Alcohol does a great job for what it can touch but what about upholstery, ductwork, rough surfaces, carpeting, and headliners? All of those surfaces can be hiding places for virus. We have switched to a fogging spray that gets into those places. It has been rated by both Canadian and US medical authorities to be 100% effective against Covid-19 and 99% effective against all viruses. It is non toxic and certified organic. It is a product used in hospitals and large corporations for sanitization. We do this for free to all customers getting other work done. We also provide a vehicle sanitizing service as a stand alone option for a nominal fee. The stand alone service is by appointment only. I would like to dispel a couple of car myths about dealer oil changes and dealer quality parts. I just had a customer bring one of his vehicles in and while here he said he would bring the other one in for service after it was out of warranty. I asked him why wait? He said he had to return to the dealer for oil changes or he would lose his warranty. That is WRONG!!! No dealer can void your warranty if you get your vehicle serviced at a non dealer. All that is required is that... you use parts that meet or exceed manufacturer standards and that you used a professional service provider and that you can prove it. Your invoice from a repair professional will prove this. The second myth is that dealer parts are the best parts, again WRONG! They may or may not be the best parts. The only thing that can be said for sure is that dealer parts should last the length of the warranty which is the only thing they are designed to do. You can use aftermarket parts as long as they exceed the manufacturer specifications and OE parts are not warranty required. Your professional service provider can assist you in choosing the correct parts. I know of 1 OE brand oil filter that I would not install in a lawn mower let alone a persons transportation. I also know of 1 OE oil filter brand that is rated in the top two or three of all filters. Let your service professional help you. See more

To all you diesel owners out there. It is very important that you service your fuel system on a regular basis. Algae will grow in the water that diesel fuel naturally absorbs. This algae will plug and destroy fuel pumps and injectors and fuel rail pressure regulators.The advent of Bio Diesel has made this problem worst. Replace your fuel filter on a regular basis and use a fuel additive. We of course would be happy to provide these services for you.

Weather is getting warmer so it's time to service your coolant and transmissions. Hybrid owners will also need to service inverter coolant systems and Power Diverter System fluids. Hybrid fluids are very specific. Use the wrong fluid and you could ruin the system which will cost major dollars.Do Not forget to service the Hybrid battery cooling fan system. A plugged battery cooling system will eventually cost you a Hybrid battery. We at RPM use the correct factory approved fluids for all hybrid services.
