I haven't written a post in a little while but I have something to write today! Today for the first time since Sept 1st.....I ran! I didn't plan on a run, I planned on a walk with my pup Ruby....but Ruby had some plans of her own. As though she decided "come on Sue, today is the day!", we started our walk and she encouraged me to speed up, and then to speed up a bit more. Although I only ran about one mile in our 4 mile excursion, and it wasn't terribly fast....it doesn'...t matter. Am I proud, even though it is still WAY less than i have done in the past? Hell yeah i am!!! I am proud that I didn't give up on something I love doing. I.am proud that I knew when to stop and resume walking. And I am delighted that I made it back before the rain and wind really hit!! I'm not writing to brag or show off. It's not really my style. I am writing to remind you that if there is something you want to do, any goal that you have don't give up on it, even when you have set backs. Don't let anyone tell you to give up on your goals. 100 % This!!!! In my household, we have candy. We have junk food movie night probably once a week, I bake regularly and we always have cookies and muffins in this house. I am not worried about my kids over indulging on treats because it rarely happens. I believe a part of this is because it isn't a forbidden thing, therefore it isn't such a huge deal. I feel that way about diets. Thoughts? Ideas? Would love to hear from you.
