*copied post* Political post: there seems to be an effort online to convince parents to wait until October 1 to register for homeschool/distance options. They are trying to trick parents into leaving their funding with the schools when they keep their kids home. Some are also telling parents that they have to register with their current school for online options. I have no idea where it is coming from. Parents please be aware that some are trying to hide your choices. You do... not have to register through your current school for distance education. You can select the associate board of your own choosing. If you wait until september 30, you receive no funding for homeschool, some boards will not take you on for homeschooling or distance Ed, and you may have to pay out of pocket to register after September 30. I know it is a stressful time for most and I hope you all can figure things out. It is despicable to try and keep parents unaware of their options. See more
