Last hatch for 2020, pick up Aug 14/15! Wondering what it’s like to raise ducks, but worry about the commitment? We have a solution! We are offering a fostering program; we will supply you with two just-hatched ducklings and enough bedding and food for approximately 4 weeks. We will also provide a FAQ document and be available for questions by text message.... All you need is a safe place for them, and lots of love! At any time during the four weeks, you can choose to keep the ducks as forever pets, or you can bring them back to the farm. Cost to participate is $100. Please message us to get on the wait list and reserve your ducklings with a $20 deposit.

It has been a rough spring and early summer; we are missing our extended families and friends, but these ducklings are bringing us so much joy! NEW chick program! Want to raise chicks but bylaw says no roosters? RiverBound farms is offering a limited number of chicks in a return the rooster fashion! ... Here’s the deal: We provide 4 chicks (2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Ameraucanas), bedding, enough food for at least 4 weeks, and helpful tips for chick raising. Rhode Island Reds lay brown eggs, Ameraucanas lay light blue ones. When you figure out who is going to crow, you can return the boys to the farm! (You can return the hens too if you choose). For the most part, we expect you’ll be able to tell by 8-10 weeks of age, but birds can be returned up to 12 weeks of age. Cost is $100 per 4-chick bundle. Pick up June 20! First come, first choice of Ameraucana colours! PM us to sign up.

We have pure bred Ameraucana and Rhode Island Red chicks available! Photos in this add are of the chicks and parents. Ameraucanas are light blue egg layers - $10/chick sold as straight run. These are the grey, black, dark brown or striped and chipmunk looking chicks.... Rhode Island Red or light brown egg layers - $8/chick sold as straight run. These are the solid light red to brown chicks. A custom starter feed is available for $5 (6lbs). For quickest response, text Al at 519-400-7205 and specify what you are looking for. Ad will be modified or will come down when I’m sold out. We are practicing social distancing at the farm. Please bring your own box lined with paper towel or appropriate bedding; chicks will be set out for you at the agreed upon time.
