This beautiful setting is unique and unforgettable. A modern, cozy panabode cottage overlooks the stunning Magnetawan River at the rapids. The panoramic wall of windows faces south ensuring sunshine all day long and a spectacular view. One acre plus of wooded privacy, located right on the river at the legendary Poverty Bay Chutes. Ideal for a romantic getaway, or for those looking for a refreshing escape. Swimming, canoeing, and fishing (awesome fly fishing), up or down river... or across the road in Poverty Bay. The cottage has a breathtaking view of the rapids that is gorgeous all year round. The full service cottage offers fresh linens and a welcome package to make you feel at home instantly. If you want us to grab your groceries for you and have them there waiting, we’re happy to do it. The owner is a retired chef who would also be pleased to come and cook a special meal or two for you if you’re celebrating an occasion, or just would like to create an occasion. Those are the moments he lives for! Two bedrooms: one with Queen bed; one with Full bed bamboo sheets and comfortable duvets for a great night’s sleep Well-equipped clean and modern kitchen Rustic and lovely wood paneled cathedral ceiling Modern wood stove for extra heat and the beauty of a wood fire Deck, BBQ, outdoor fire pit with cool 60s vintage fireplace for enjoying lazy nights and stargazing Second deck with Muskoka chairs above the river, perfect for morning coffee LCD TV, DVD, iPod stereo, Sirius satellite radio, internet available We've also set up a luxurious "glamping" tent in case you’d like a change of scene during your stay. Beautiful yet rustic (like an old time African safari), this very large white canvas tent provides an outdoor experience with ultimate comfort: a queen bed and real linens; 2 piece private washroom, fully screened doors and windows, coffee maker, and private deck over looking the outdoor fire place. This allows the river house to sleep 6 people comfortably in total. A note: the rapids, while glorious, are not ideal for children or pets. Located approx. 30 mins east of Parry Sound.
