Stats are in for August! For the month of August, single family home unit sales were up 22.98% from August 2019; all residential average prices are up to $374,409, a 1.86% increase from August 2019, and up 1.24% from July 2020. Just had to share this amazing ‘packing hack’ one of my brilliant nieces shared with me! Purchase tall tie up bags, slip your clothes in while still on the hangars, and cinch up the ties around the hangar tops. When it’s time to unpack simply hang the bags up and ‘snip snip’ the ties and your clothes are ready to wear! Please reuse the bags for their original purpose, or instead tie the hangars up tight with ribbon and avoid using plastic all together!

Market stats are in for May 2020. Not surprisingly sales are down year over year from 2019, but month over month they've increased almost 55% from April. In general we are noticing more activity, perhaps a hopeful sign that we are on the road to recovery! WOW! Creativity plus! One of my client’s, a young couple who recently bought an older house, just completed this stairway update. I don’t know about you but when I look at it ‘Stairway to Heaven’ keeps running through my head. Beautiful!

Yesterday I took the 'day off' of watching and listening to the news. Instead, I focused on making a complicated cake for my brother's birthday. It felt so good to think about something fun all day! Strangely though, I woke up this morning feeling guilty about it. But as was pointed out to me by a wise woman (thank you Michelle Zyp!) my worrying is not going to change the global pandemic facing us. It's important to try and maintain ourselves as best as possible in these trying times. I hope you may find some good coping strategies in this article posted by one of my colleagues (thank you Murray Glick!)
