When was the last time your cleaned your hair brush?? Lets not even talk about makeup brushes haha Regular cleaning of your hair brush is important. Use of hairspray and other styling propducts can build up on the bristles - putting dirt and debris on your clean hair!!... Start by removing the hair from your brush. Then use can use a fine tooth comb to speed up the process. Then warm soap and water! You can also soak them in the sink. Rinse well, lay flat on a towl to dry Be honest - when was the last time you cleaned your brush?

I have some very exciting news to share! I made semi - finalist (Top 10) for Alberta Hairstylist of the Year! The Contessa awards are to hairstylists what the Grammys and Oscars are for music and movies. I was hoping that this years awards ceremonies would be LIVE in Toronto but sadly it seems that I will once again be in my Pjs with a glass on wine on my couch. I am so fortunate to love what I do and have such amazing clients who encourage and support me!

I absolutely adored showing travel BFF Chelsea around Jasper! (She had never been!) It was stunning weather with the beautiful fall colours. We hit up all major sites - Athabasca and sunwapta falls, maligne canyon and lake (and did the cruise to spirit island!). We went kayaking on pyramid lake, had a picnic by the river, and saw ALL the animals - deer, elk, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, moose and yes even a BEAR!!! Travelling makes my soul sing and I can’t wait to go on m...y next adventure. It was sad to drop Chelsea at the airport but it’s never goodbye - it’s always see you again! Back at it in the salon today for a brisk 11 hour day I’ve added some extra availability on my schedule for October so there is 5 colour spots now open online to book for the remainder of the month. My travel BFF Chelsea is here !!!! We met 8 years ago in Vietnam and continue to meet up in exotic places around the world (10+ countries together!) It had been 21 months since we last saw each other (Philippines , Jan 2020) As soon as the borders opened for to be allowed to visit she booked a flight! My time away from the salon was FULL of education and I feel even better coming out of quarantine than I did going in! Did you know that continuing my education is one of my top priorities? I usually try to take 5+ classes every year to make sure I stay current with the newest trends for my clients. Normally I try to hit up at least one international hairshow (sigh, maybe in 2022) but while I was out of the salon this shutdown I took 3 online classes One thing that really stood out to me was learning high impact, low maintenance techniques. I absolutely love it because everyone wants a looks that grows out nicely, since we never seem to know if hair salons will be open next month to maintain your roots

& All the girls here in @rpselfcentre have decided to host a Food Bank drive this holiday season! Our community needs us more than ever and the food bank is one of so many organizations that is in dire need of support. Until Dec 21st, there will be a box located at our centre accepting donations - both monetary and non perishable items. $ , $$, $. , , & !

December 1st is my favourite day because I get to start my advent calendars!! This year I have ferraro, a cheese one and of course the amazing, locally owned Jacek, which makes the BEST chocolates ever.
