All the Rossmere Lanes league members and their households How? This is an online event with all the details to join listed below. Why? Because we all need a good Christmas party to attend. Now the big question, what kind of Christmas party can we do online? The answer is Peter Boie, MAGICIAN FOR NON-BELIEVERS. Peter will be preforming a private show for all the Rossmere Lanes League members. MORE IMPORTANT INFO: Have a deck of cards handy for a magic trick that will happen in your hands! Peter will be bringing video of volunteers into the show using zoom. There will be a link to the waiting room on the show page. This link will become active 15 mins before showtime. Please to go into the waiting room, as Peter will need at least 3 people to help during the show who are willing to be on video. Just for clarification, the actual show will be streamed live on YouTube, that link to the show is on the show page as well. Anyone that is willing to help in the show should also go into the zoom waiting room. They can watch the show on YouTube and also be in the zoom waiting room. This is a private show intended for Rossmere Lanes league members and their households. Please do not share the password with others. There is a live chat room active during the show and I would encourage bowlers to comment during the show. Rossmere Lanes Christmas Party announcement!

With the new restrictions being implemented on Monday, I will be closing Rossmere Lanes on Sunday November 1st. The bowling centre will reopen as soon as the new restrictions are lifted so we can continue to offer a safe activity to our league and open play customers. It is time to take care of each other and be supportive to the ones that need it. Jamie

One week until Christmas Day. Hard to believe that our Rossmere Lanes bowling community has been not been together since October. This was always such a great time for league Christmas parties, luncheons and sharing family favourites with each other. I have a few details to finalize but I will be inviting all Rossmere Lanes league bowlers and their families to a holiday event. Plans will be announced very soon on this page and emails will be sent out to everyone. Please share with your teammates and I ask everyone to keep the evening (not that much else is going on, lol) of Sunday December 27 open for the Rossmere Lanes holiday party. Talk soon!

Meet Gourd, new staff member helping us out this week.

As of Monday, September 28th, Manitoba Health Authorities has increased the Restart Manitoba Pandemic Response System to Orange: RESTRICTED in the Winnipeg Health Region. Orange: Restricted Community transmission of COVID-19 is occurring. However, the virus is being transmitted at levels that public health and the health system can manage. New clusters are more common, but can be controlled through testing and contact tracing. The health care system is able to manage COVID...-19 case levels. Code orange requires everyone to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces, meaning as of Monday, all of our customers must wear a mask when entering the bowling center. With all of the protocols that we have in place will allow us to continue our league season and offer public play times for your family to enjoy some recreation time together. Group limits are in place and social distancing protocols are enforced. We thank you for doing your part in keeping everyone safe and healthy.

Check it out. Five weeks of work and we can invite everyone back to the lanes. Reopening tomorrow, Thursday August 20th, noon till 10pm. Reservations are recommended. We are so happy to show everyone all the completed work.

More progress. T-panels and approach panels are pegged and seamed in place. Changed 3 range finder panels as well. Next week will be the fill sections in between each lane. Lots of fine cutting, putting in the remaining screws and then the dowels.

Very productive so far this week. All the LSL has been cut, drilled and screwed down in place. The one photo shows some of the specific cutting required. T-panels have been placed on each lane and tomorrow we will begin to align and start on the approach panels.

Just a quick update for all of our bowlers. With the new restrictions going into effect today, our league season will not see any changes to the protocols or systems that we have already implemented. Our health inspector was on site last week and we are exceeding all necessary requirements. Rossmere Lanes was used as an example for another centre to match our protocols. Here is the latest update...

Today’s update shows the substructure base has been installed, leveled and is ready for the LSL panels to be placed. Tomorrow is delivery day. LSL panels, overlay, fill sections and hardware arrive for 8am. Removed seating and tables to create the walkway. Will be a heavy carry into the centre day.

We have been very busy the last two days.

Flood repairs have begun. Here are a few photos of the removal of the overlay and old lane substructure.

We have had some questions with our upcoming repairs. With the water damage that occurred in May, Rossmere Lanes will be replacing all 20 lanes of the approach surface. The new textured approach surface will provide the best possible slide conditions for our bowlers. Work on the project will begin soon and completion will be by mid August so we will be ready to welcome back all of our league bowlers to the new fall season. All of our leagues will be able to start the season on their regular time lines in early September. We are open everyday for our league bowlers to join us for some summer bowling fun. Leagues are finalizing the season’s awards and distribution. Thursday E.K. Seniors will have a pick up planned for 2pm at Rossmere Lanes on Thursday July 9th. For those that need a later pick up time, message us here at the lanes and we will hold the awards for those that can pick up on this Thursday prior to 10pm. Only those member that confirm their pick up will be held for them at the lanes. The remaining awards will be held by the executive. Thank you.
