Running Thru Walls 20.11.2020

Every time I need to make a big decision I can so easily get wrapped up in this idea of what would they think what would they say what if it burns a bridge later on?. I do this more than I care to admit if I’m being honest. I’m a big dreamer. Sometimes these dreams can get me into trouble and lead me down paths that are solely meant for my Glory and not the Glory God has called me into with purposeful intent. I announced about a month ago that I was going to tackle... the Ironman. Becoming an ironman finisher is certainly a goal and dream of mine but the process to getting there is what I’m really looking forward to. The growth. The knowledge. The wisdom to learn from mistakes. Overcoming the fears, overcoming the hard things. Being comfortable with learning to say no so I can then say yes to the things that serve God. No to things that no longer serve what my goals are. This is what I struggle with. NO. Why is it so darn hard to say and even harder to do? So here is a life hack tip I’ve learned over the past 2 years. When I’m struggling to make a decision or feel like I want/need/know I need to say NO but just can’t bite that bullet.I make a list I write down the 5 things in my life that are most important to me - and I get a bit more detailed. I write down who I want to be and what it is I stand for. Today was one of these days. I’m struggling with a NO so instead of a head battle and lost sleep, I turn to Prayer and stillness. That prayer and stillness leads me to take inventory of the heart God gave me and I know what I need to do. Make the list and see if the question I’m wondering about giving the NO to serves my top 5. If it doesn’t serve my current top 5 - then its a NO. So for today.I’m gonna go with a NO.now wish me luck as I type the awkward email #runningthruwalls #sayingnosoicansayyes #godsglory #jennysironmanjourney #healthisspiritual #stillnessisnecessary #triathalontrainingtips #lifetrainingtips #justsayno #coffeealwayshelps

You know one of the things I love most about BOD (if you don’t know what that means send me a message!) - I love that I can literally walk downstairs, press play and not think about what to do next. It is the exact perfect compliment to my first block of official Ironman training which consists mainly of running, strength (mbf) and the occasional bike ride! Local MBF challenge group is starting in one week. It’s a 3 week challenge - 30 minutes a day- all you have to do is decide to do it and then press play. It’s doable people. We are all going to keep each other accountable!! If you want in you know how to get in. The more the merrier!! Drop me a line if you are interested. One week people- that’s 7 days to decide! #mbf #runningthruwalls #jennysironmanjourney #getyourbuttsmoving #covidrecoveryplan

For as long as I can remember I’ve struggled the most whenever I’ve not had a big goal. Many of my goals have been professional in nature and I’ve always had the mentality of what’s next on the list, where can I go from here, what will bring me more joy/peace/money in this season. Then God hit me with a really heavy brick last year - right smack over the head - the wake up call. It was like he was a really good friend who just spoke a word over my life and even th...Continue reading

Really working on building those KM’s in the humidity. Hoping it pays off come race day! Really carefully considering what my next big goal is. It’s not something I’m rushing into - which if you know me is kind of a big deal! #ontariorunning #readyformore #runningthruwalls #progressionrunsarehard
