I just want a cheap, safe trail horse, nothing fancy What people do not understand is that above statement, is probably the hardest thing to get for your family. In my opinion, those are the fanciest kinds. They don’t make ‘em like they used to. There are few of us out there that take the time to train for just a trail horse. ... Then, when it comes to just a trail horse people don’t tend to understand the amount of time, hours, tears, pain it takes to make that amazing horse into just a trail horse. How much effort and time it takes to train a horse to be bombproof (a word I never use). How ground work and desensitization are the foundations to this happening. People don’t understand it takes YEARS to get a horse to this caliber and we are trying to do this as fast as we can. How people put unrealistic expectations on a trainer as well as a horse to have their 4 year old bombproof in 30 days. It’s just not going to happen. So for those of you that are blessed like us and have yourself just a trail horse. Count your blessings and cherish that pony, it’s worth it’s weight in gold

For the most part, my job entails playing with animals all day. I say playing because if you love what you do, it’s not really work . I’m not going to lie, my barn is pretty great.
