Hi my name is Kyla LaCombe! I currently work at Creekside Physiotherapy and Quarry Physiotherapy in Gimli. I graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba in 2017. I became acupuncture certified in December 2018 and I continue to participate in post-graduate education. Some of the other courses I have taken are the Osteoporosis Bone-Up Workshop, Mulligan mobilizations with movement and Neurokinetic therapy. I enjoy keeping active in my personal tim...e through a variety of activities. Most recently you will find me walking or hiking with my new puppy Cooper and doing strength training workouts at home. I also enjoy playing soccer, kayaking, swimming, running, biking, yoga, snowshoeing and I’ll try anything else that gets me moving. As a physiotherapist I strive to help patients optimize their recovery and better manage their conditions. I do this with a mix of hands on treatment and education regarding what can be done on their own. I work with each patient to develop a customized treatment plan based on their lifestyle and goals.

In a clinic setting Athletic Therapists work with athletic injuries as well as everyday people who sustain everyday injuries or have aches and pains which come on suddenly or over time. These injuries vary from muscle strains and ligament sprains to broken bones, back pain, and pre/post surgical rehab. If you have been injured in a car accident or at work- Athletic Therapy is also here to help with treatment which is covered by MPI and WCB. Using primarily hands on techniques and specific exercise prescription an Athletic Therapist will help get you back to your active lifestyle.

You can book an appointment with Certified Atheltic Therapist Lisa Smyrichinsky at our Sage Creek clinic!!! 204-253-6768 [email protected] The role of an Athletic Therapist goes far beyond the playing field! Yes, they are the ones you see running out first when a player goes down with an injury during a game. They are the ones behind the scenes rehabilitating, educating, and encouraging that player back to their level of intensity. What people often do not realize is that Athletic Therapy is for everybody whether you are training for a sport or simply maintaining an active lifestyle!
