Only experiencing the ‘Other,’ getting out of your ‘Comfort Zone’ & like Colour Theory mixing & experiencing the plethora of colours, cultures, peoples’, narratives, & legitimising & validating all knowledge can we as human being get to where we need/want to go. As artists & creatives we strive for that aesthetic & beauty, of process of the learning, curious mind & shared learning each day! #artistsoninstagram #artwork #artist #artoftheday #artyherapy #artistsofinstagram #artcollective #arttherapy #artofvisuals #artgallery #artphotography #artforsale #artists #mindfulness #mindset #loveyourself #lovelife #creative #creativity #creativewriting #create #addiction #instaaddict #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #curious #yougotthis #yourenot
Narrative Therapy is basically a return to writing down our stories, storytelling from the world’s oldest oral traditions of storytelling & passing on knowledge. Which continues today for many cultures but isn’t considered as legitimate or valued in the West, despite its efficacy for thousands of years. It’s also a powerful tool for healing. I have found it very effective & helpful working with individuals (one-on-one) with trauma and in facilitating small groups trauma-based including trauma-centred approach & art-based curriculum.
and to all a good night <3
It’s within each of us Inner Strength, Inner Resiliency we have to learn the skills to re-build our capacity again & incorporate it into our daily lives to prevent compassion fatigue & burn-out. Find your Resiliency Warrior.....
Trace back the internal voice(s) in your head... Parent’s, Siblings, Teacher, etc... whose criticism you still carry with you everyday. Learn to lower the volume & raise your Inner Voice & Trust it again.
Learning how to challenge unhelpful negative thoughts using CBT is very effective, other ways are Art-based exercise where you externalise you Inner Critic. It has a high success rate it impacts you on Mental, Emotional, Physical, Somatic, & Visual|sensory levels to aid in unlearning & relearning the Authentic View of You
