It's Race Day for the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club. Today 102 Goldfins in the White 1 & 2, White 3, Blue 12, and Gold 14 Groups will compete in this Valentine Weekend's special event. Good luck to all the Goldfins swimmers.

Goldfins Gold 14 Group will be racing in the Heart Crusher Swim Meet - February 13 & 14, 2021. This is an unofficial time trial featuring test events: 50M Breaststroke, 200M Backstroke, 100M Freestyle, & 200M Individual Medley. The G14 swimmers have been divided into two competing teams; the G14 Arrows and the G14 Reds. Who will come out on top? Stay tuned. Good luck G14!

This month, is usually a tasty one for all of us. The Goldfins G14 and White 3 swimmers are exploring athletic nutrition considerations. Topics have included nutrition basics reviewing nutrients and how they FUEL our developing bodies in and away from the pool. The Saskatoon Junior Goldfins swimming lesson program is hitting the "Pause" button on swim training until Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Due to the recent Saskatchewan Health Authority directives, the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is restricted to offering lessons to groups to a maximum of eight (8) swimmers/lesson. It is the Club's goal to continue to offer swimming lessons for our Junior Goldfins swimmers based on facility scheduling allowances. The Junior Goldfins coachin...g staff will be offering Virtual Training starting on Monday, November 30, 2020. Watch for email indicating the link your swimmers will use to access their group's training session. Zoom training will be held based on your swimmer's lesson schedule. (Mon/Wed & Tues/Thurs) These sessions will be held from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. The Goldfins Coaching Staff will keep members updated as to available swimming lesson scheduling options for your consideration during these next three weeks.

Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is pleased to announce our second contest of the 2020 - 2021 swim season. The Goldfins will be joining LEGO this holiday season in their #BuildToGive donation campaign. Goldfins swimmers are encouraged to participate in this #GoldfinsGiveBack initiative by creating holiday swim ornaments using Lego bricks. For every ornament you make and submit, your name will be entered in our prize draw for vintage Goldfins Gear. Due to the recent COVID prevention restrictions announced earlier this week, the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club has suspended training November 27 - 29, 2020. Members will receive updated training schedule information through email later this weekend. The Goldfins Coaching Staff will be designing a new training schedule that will reflect these mandated operating/training restrictions.
