Looking for educational and fun activities for your kids at home? Sault College’s Ben Oliver is the Chair of ASHRAE’s Student Activities Committee, which has a sub-committee dedicated to K-12 and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) outreach to young children and students. Hi Sault College Alum! Looking for a way to help out our front line health workers? WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER: SEWN FACE MASKS INITIATIVE... WE NEED DONATIONS OF THE FOLLOWING: 1.COTTON! (preferably patterned) could be cotton sheets with a high thread count (you shouldn’t be able to see through them) 2. 1/4" or less - elastic 3. Coated wire -coated paper clips; garden or floral wire - we use the wire to make the masks fit closely around the nose Sewing for health care workers at SAH, ARCH, FJ Davey, and more. Masks also for the public who need to go there. They need a stock pile if they run out of government supplies (some are using now). Please donate. THESE PEOPLE ARE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE FOR US. NOTE - we are taking infection control precautions during this process. We'll be sharing information on Sault College supports available to Alumni Members, Healthy Activities for those at home, and success stories from your peers.... Today, we feature Free Online Fitness Classes with Heather Pusch. Heather, one of our Fitness and Health Promotion Professors, along with a second year Fitness and Health Promotion student are hosting free, 30 minute weekday online fitness classes. This is an amazing initiative to help keep you moving right in your own home.
