Gladstone Auction Mart 08.10.2020

We had an excellent sale on Tuesday! With a decent number of top quality cattle that were in high demand. We put 596 head in front of a very strong well represented buyers row this week. As we progress into fall more and more cattle are making their way into town. We are starting to see quite a few more cows then we have been in previous weeks. The number of wet nosed calves is on the rise making for a good market. The market was strong today and harvest wrapping up, feedlots... are taking their first set of calves off grass, the cattle market is very good at this time and should be taken advantage of before we start seeing pressure from the fall run. The cow and bull trade was consistent to last week with cows trading from 68.25-79.75 and bulls were ringingbin from 102-110.50. Orders were very strong and order buyers were plentiful, both old and some new faces both currently fill our buyers row and we all know that there are no friends at an auction!. Cattle had sturdy demands all classes sold well and I expect to see a lot more in the weeks to come! This has been Tyler Slawinski Reporting, and Thank You for being a part of our Industry! See more

Sorry for the delay, here are the weight break price ranges from our regular sale yesterday.

Gladstone Auction Mart 14.09.2020

We sold 303 cattle in Gladstone today. The weather has been very nice which would make any critters difficult to round up! There are still a few yearlings coming to town, and feedlots are still filling their yearling pens before they switch to wet nosed and weaned calves, so if you have some yearlings to sell the sooner the better. The market showed gains and strength from last week both on the feeder market and slaughter side of things. Cows traded from 71.50-83 and bulls we...re in that 106-111.50 money. All classes of feeders sold well and nearly all weight breaks were slightly stronger this week! I expect the numbers to grow every week, doesn’t hurt to give us a call to get your cattle booked so we can get Market your cattle to the best of our ability! This has been Tyler Slawinski Reporting, and thank you for being a part of our Industy! See more

We sold 401 head to a wide selection of buyers both local and from a far, where we got to see how successful the auction market method of marketing really is! We had a few cull cows and bulls today and local orders kept that market quite sturdy. Cows traded from 72-81.75 and we had some hard working bulls bring between 100.00 and 108.25. The feeder market definitely had lots of strength and support with both wet nosed weaned calves and yearling cattle which is mainly what fil...led the pens this week. Buyers had very diverse orders and all classes of cattle sold very well. With certain areas seeing a glimpse of old Jack Frost cattle are starting to trail into town, the cattle market is very good in my opinion and should be taken advantage of before we start to see a lot of pressure from the fall run. Don’t hesitate to send a message or give us a call if you have any questions always happy to help! This has been Tyler Slawinski Reporting and Thank-You for being a part of our Industry! See more

Welcome Back! Where has the time gone?! September 1st and we had our first sale, the barn didn’t burst at the seams but we put enough through the ring to blow the dust off and work in the new grease! With the recent rains it has eased grazing pressure and seems to have come at a good time in order to get harvesting wrapped up, instead of feeding pastures or chasing the odd fence crawler! The cow and bull market was strong and reassuring, cows traded from 75 to 89.25 bulls wer...e ringing in at 105-111. We didn’t have enough feeder type cattle to quote a fair market report but the feeders were very positive and optimistic, Good yearling type cattle seem to have high demands! We are skipping a week next week and will be well rested and ready to assist you with all your cattle marketing needs when we return on September 15th see you at ringside! This has been Tyler Slawinski Reporting and thank you for being a part of our industry! See more

We sold 301 head through the ring yesterday for our regular sale. The cow market was steady and holding its own which was pleasant to see, due to the fact we saw a few more cows in offer this week as producers do their final sorts before grass. Local orders were definitely playing a supporting role in holding our cow market steady today. We are really starting to see how important local processing facilities are and how big of an effect they can have stand together and run at... full capacity! The range on the cows was 75-84, we didn’t see a whole bunch of feeder type cows but the ones we did have were in the 85-95 range. The bull market was powerful! Good bulls fetching between 114.50-120. The feeder market was positive and reassuring once again, all classes of cattle regained a lot of ground from what we were seeing earlier at the beginning of this crazy roller coaster ride up and down. The grass cattle market was very strong, heavier short keeping cattle had sturdy demands and quality heifers that could be fed or used for breeding seemed to be fetching a priemium! We will be having just one more regular sale which will be on June the 9th so if you have some cattle that need to be marketed don’t hesitate to call! This has been Tyler Slawinski Reporting and thank you for being a part of our Industry! See more

We tried something new again this week, we are broadcasting our regular sales live. By doing so producers who have consigned cattle can still be in attendance. Lately many businesses are doing the same as this has become the new normal to try and accommodate to the best of their ability. I would say it was a success although we struggled with a internet connection last week we have made some changes and are pleased to announce, viewing online is now very similar to sitting right in the stands! Please join us from the comfort of your own home once again in two weeks! Here is a peek at the market ranges for this week! See you at ringside!

We sold 258 head of cattle through the ring in Gladstone at our regular sale yesterday. It was a speedy sale once again with a few bunches of fall calves and some reputable replacement heifers. The cow market is working its way back to the reality of where we need to see it. Local orders and cows fit to travel south of the border are two factors stabilizing our cow market. We are really seeing the importance of our local processing facilities and how big of an effect they can... have when they all stand together, and just how many cattle they can actually process when they are running at full capacity. In my opinion we need to support our local facilities all the time, not just when there is a crisis or there is no where left to turn. All classes of cows had string demands and the range was 72-85 and feeder type cows in that 85-1.00 money. Bulls were steady from 101.25-106.50. The feeder market was holding its own and reassuring once again. All classes of cattle were stronger then what we saw two weeks ago but there is still room for improvement. The grass cattle market is very strong, and even the heavier short keep cattle are regaining what we lost through this crazy time. Processing facilities are gradually building up speed once again increasing productivity and shifts cautiously. As they backlog of fat cattle get processed and the situation becomes controlled we see positive reactions, from increased rail prices to higher prices through the ring. This has been Tyler Slawinski Reporting, Thank you for being a part of our Great Industry! See more
