As of today, September 15, 2020, the Shawville United Church Council met and decided that the church will be closed for worship until further notice. For those that have computers and have been attending worship services via Zoom, please continue to do so. As before the url for Sunday’s gathering morning is : https://us04web.Zoom.us/j/2941006762 and there is no password, and if you are already on the Zoom webpage the room ID is 2941006762 and again there is no password.

Important News - The Thrift Shop will reopen tomorrow morning (Oct. 29) from 9:00 to 12:00. AND... On a experimental basis, the Thrift Shop will be open this Saturday morning (Oct.31) from 10:00 to 12:00. With respect to COVID risks, very strong measures have been put in place to protect both Volunteers and Shoppers, It is critical that Everyone comply with these measures. Access to the Shop, while it is open, will be tightly monitored and will be limited to 3 Volunteers and 5 customers at a time. For tomorrow and for this Saturday, sufficient Volunteers (and back-ups) have already been scheduled. If you would like to volunteer for next week, please contact Nora Duncan.

The church council of Shawville United Church, based on the rising number of cases in both Renfrew and The Outaouais, has decided not to re-open for church services on Thanksgiving. We also decided to limit who can enter the church, so all activities such as our newly-new shop, Vi-Active, Victoria Quilts, and Pickleball have been suspended. We continue to hold council meetings, search committee meetings, and transition meetings, but these will now be done virtually using th...e Zoom platform.
