Well, "the lights" were suppose to be out in full force the other night and they probably were. Except, for the heavy cloud cover. Of coarse, the weather report said that at 1am there would only be 30% cloud cover. I fell asleep on the couch but set my alarm. I think that from now on I will forget the weather report and go by how bad my knee's feel. I was able to get off a couple of shots but they were actually more of a reflection from behind the clouds. www.sheddenphotography.ca

Just to give everyone a calendar update; In the Alamguin Region, Katrine General Store, Guardian Drugs (Sundridge) and Buchanan's Hardware in Port Loring have some calendars for sale. If you are outside of the region, I still have a few on-hand that can be shipped out.

I had Henry out in the bush and the snow today. We were looking for the old "turn of the century" turbine on a northern tributary of the Magnetawan River in Ontario. You can check out the YouTube video of the adventure below. https://youtu.be/rhzoqVmsr5k

Just an update on the "Calendar Draw". I have received a lot....and I mean a lotof emails asking if I could delay the draw for a month because there area lot of people have not received theirs as of yet. I find it interesting that all 11 people in Vietnam received theirs and yet there are a few in Canada that have not. Hmmm. I am not one for changing rules, although I don't always follow them. So, here is what I am going to do. There will be 2 draws. One on New Years Eve at mid-night and one a month later on Jan 31. To me, its just not fair for the folks that ordered a calendar and have not received it to be left out. For the people that have their name in for the New Years Eve draw, you will also be added for the second draw. I think that this is the only way to make it fair. www.sheddenphotography.ca

A couple of things....first of all: I have reprinted 500 more calendars. If you would like one, please send me a note and I will get it out to you asap. NOW....for the folks that had ordered a calendar....please send me your email with the photo you liked best. This is for my information only. I will place you in a draw to be held on New Years Eve. If you win, I will send out the print that you had voted for (16" x 22") approximately. Fine Art Quality. It will be a random draw that is done through Excel. It does not matter what country you are living in. Opps...please send to : [email protected] www.sheddenphotography.ca Thanks a bunch and please be safe. We are living in a really screwed up world right now.

Yesterday afternoon I was invited out to try to rescue a Sand Hill Crane that had a busted wing. The organizers of the search and rescue were Deanne Scarlett & her husband, Randy Hummel of Trout creek (far right). Unfortunately, were not able to locate the "Wiley" rascal. Hopefully, he will pop up again and he can get looked after. The second picture is of a Sand Hill Crane, for those who are not familiar with these beautiful birds.
