Hello! We are proud to announce that all of our semester one cats have been adopted just in time for the holidays! Congratulations to the loving families who get to bring home these amazing cats, and while we will miss them we are glad that they have a home with you. Thank you to the animal care students, past and present, as well as the faculty members and grooming clients who spread the word to help get these cats adopted. Happy holidays!

Camilla is just over a year old, a domestic Shorthaired brown tabby, who is spayed. She would do best in a calm and patient household as she can become overstim...ulated, but that doesn't mean she won't play! She loves being scratched behind the ears and curling up for naps in the sun! Camilla would also do best in a single pet household. See more

Whinney is a spayed brown and white long haired tabby. She is very calm for a one and a half year old cat, but loves to be the centre of attention! She loves pe...ople, but does not get along well with other animals. This beautiful girl is independent but still loves to show and receive affection! See more

Jiminy is the only male cat still up for adoption, he is a black and white shorthaired cat, extremely calm for a one and a half year old, with unique white colo...uring on the tip of his tail and his chest. He's the shy and sweet type with gorgeous amber coloured eyes, he does well with other cats so long as they are not male. See more

Last but certainly not the least is the gorgeous miss Violet is a seven and a half year old grey and white medium haired cat with very unique markings. She is v...ery calm and observant and would do well in a single pet home, Violet likes to spend her time in high places watching over things or looking out windows, she isn't very vocal but has a strong purr when she's being cuddled. Don't let her age fool you! She still has a long life ahead of her and it could be made even better in a loving environment! See more

Snow is an ever curious kitten, she is a spayed two year old domestic long haired black cat who is amazingly friendly, playful, yet also calm. She is shy and sweet but loves to explore and look outside. Great for a first time cat owner, and would be alright in a multiple pet home.

The first of the six cats still up for adoption is one of my personal favourites, her name is Mariah, she is a 2 year old Persian mix, declawed and spayed, with... quite the personality! She's a bit of a princess but very sweet and loving, better suited towards being in a single pet home. She is very independent but still loves affection, head scratches are her favourite though. CALLING ALL NEW ANIMAL CARE STUDENTS! We are looking for a couple students to take over managing our Facebook and Instagram page! The previous posters have graduated, and are unable to maintain the posting requirement.... We are looking for dedicated, passionate students who want to help spread the word about adoption and grooming services through Sheridan's Animal Centre. This is an active Facebook page, with over 470 likes. It is important that students are organized and are able to keep the page as up to date as possible. Ideally, a minimum of 5 posts (including pictures and videos) per week would be required to stay in touch with our followers. The responsibilities of the posters include (but not limited to): - Post photos of each adoptable cat/kitten (photos must be good quality) - Post a brief summary of each feline (name, age, sex, spayed/neutered, vaccinations, micro chipped, temperament) - Post updates on each feline in regards to adoption/adoption pending/available - Keep the page full of information about other services - At the end of the student term (graduation) the poster will be responsible for recruiting another poster to take over. Please take a look at past posts on our Facebook and Instagram page to get an idea of what is expected. If you are interested, please send us a message detailing your enthusiasm and any experience you may have. We will make a decision by Friday, September 9th, 2016. Enjoy the year everyone! #newstudents #newyear #sheridancollege #sheridancollegeanimalcentre #animalgrooming #catadoption #kittenadoption
