Project 3/3: The remaining photos.

PROJECT: 2/3 Here is the before and after pictures of the antique sewing machine used in my front entrance way. Later this week, I will post the last set of photos.

Project: Improve a front entrance. My original entrance lacked surface space and let's face it was not very pretty :) To improve it I needed better lighting, keep the seating & mirror while adding storage. The better lighting has been solved with an open chandelier and I replaced the mirror to match the decor. I then updated an antique sewing machine, which was originally bought in a church basement to be an end table but was too high, to keep the seating while adding more surface space. We also installed wainscotting (Kandy Gray is a master with a chop saw and a nail gun) with a shelf to add texture, vertical interest and to provide additional shelving. I am very pleased with result. What do you think?

Added a reading nook by building a free standing bookcase (bookcase built by Kandy Gray)

After picture: added chair rail and painted two separate colours. The lamp was modified to add the green ribbon, which was also replicated in the curtain.
