St. John Ambulance Corner Brook Community Services Division is currently accepting new members. We provide first aid coverage for community events in the western region such as parades, walks, concerts, sporting events, and so much more. We are looking for motivated individuals from all backgrounds - you do not need to have any experience - we will train you! What you get from volunteering with SJA: ... - A chance to give back to your community - Valuable volunteer experience in a medical/health care environment. - Free Training up to the Medical First Responder Level to be a to give prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations, which includes Oxygen Administration, Spinal Motion Restriction, Advanced Secondary Assessment, CPR, and AED. - Experience working in a team environment and development of leadership skills. What you would do: - A Minimum of 40 hrs of volunteer service per year through events. - Attend bi-weekly meetings/training - Maintain professionalism within the organization If interested email [email protected] to find out about our next meeting!
